7 Affirmations for a kind mind is what is on my mind today. Because kindness is essential in life, and something I often think the world needs a lot more of. The best place to start being kind is toward ourselves!
We cannot be kind to others if we are not kind to ourselves first. That is where this list of 7 affirmations for a kind mind started. I needed to make a list of ways to be kind to myself, and then share it with you so you can do the same thing.
What Do Affirmations Accomplish?
Affirmations are positive statements that can help to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts and mindsets.
By repeating them and believing them, there is a mindset shift in a much more positive direction, and it can help with making healthy changes in your life.
Why Are Affirmations Important?
A wise person once told me that our brain is the biggest muscle in our bodies, and that is something that has stuck with me ever since. Because it is the truth. Affirmations help exercise our brains and put them to good use through positivity.
This makes affirmations extremely important because they have the power to help with motivation, concentrating on achieving goals, and change negative thinking habits into positive ones.
Affirmations are a huge confidence booster, and every woman can use more confidence in their lives.

I Welcome My Feelings and Allow Them to Flow Through Me
When it comes to feelings, especially negative ones, we need to allow them to happen. Don’t try to avoid them, because they will just hunt you down and keep coming after you. They literally haunt you until you acknowledge them and have the courage to face them, and if we’re being honest here, running from them is exhausting.
Allow the feelings to come, own them, embrace them, and then let them go. Let them flow through you.
I Am Safe Within Myself
If you’ve ever experienced trauma or abuse, then you know how important safety is, especially within yourself. The transition from surviving to thriving involves learning to feel safe within yourself, and I think that is essential to every aspect of our lives.
Remind yourself that you are safe, your mind, thoughts, and feelings are a safe place to be. You’re safe in your own skin.
I Don’t Want What Doesn’t Want Me
Don’t ever chase anything but your dreams. This is especially true when it comes to people. The ones who are meant to be in your life will show up continuously and prove why they want to be there and why they deserve your time, energy, and attention.
I have a firm belief that when we decide exactly what we want in life, the universe will shift to start giving that to us. Don’t be afraid to set your goals and say no to anything and everything that doesn’t serve that purpose.
I Have Permission to Rest
Rest is essential! But it can easily feel like laziness instead of important. I find this especially true because I work for myself. There is no one here to tell me when to work, or how important it is, or the fear of not having a job if I need to rest or don’t feel good.
But the truth is without rest, we risk major burnout in every aspect of our lives. We need to take care of ourselves in order to take care of others and have the energy to nurture other relationships.
Giving ourselves permission to rest and take the time for self-care is essential to our mental and physical health. My favorite way to rest is by taking the time to read a good book.
I Am Worthy of Love From Myself and Others
If you need reasons to love yourself, click here and let me tell you why! Love and kindness go hand in hand. Loving yourself and understanding you are absolutely worthy of love from yourself is a major step toward kindness.
I Am More than What I Get Done
If you skipped out on housework today because you were tired and decided to rest, or simply spend time with your family, that is great. Nobody is perfect, and nobody is coming to arrest you because you skipped mopping the floor today.
You are more than that! You are worth so, so much more than just the things you do everyday. Imperfect is completely normal and should be embraced, because you are worth a lot more.
I Have Purpose in This World
This right here is something that nobody can take away from you! When you realize that and truly believe it, you will become unstoppable. You have a purpose. Each and every single person in this world has a purpose.
Embrace that fact and let that empower you.
7 Affirmations for a Kind Mind Notes
Kindness is something that starts from within. We cannot be kind to other people until we are kind to ourselves first. Show yourself both kindness and grace through these seven affirmations and watch the amazing changes that happen in your life!
When you show yourself kindness and love, it becomes really easy to see who isn’t kind or loving toward themselves or others, and it is easier to let go of those people from our lives. This also produces a very positive result, because those aren’t the kind of people you want in your circle.
But that change starts within you. You may not be able to change the world, but you can change yourself, and that is a great place to start!
