Day 5 of 31 Day Blogging Challenge

Today is day 5 of 31 day blogging challenge! If you’re still here with me and reading this journey as I go, thank you so much! I appreciate the continued support. Yesterday, day 4 of the challenge was difficult, as it was about fear. A wise person said the best thing to me about that when I was procrastinating writing it. She said, “do it, get it over with. Face the fears, they lose their power.” That was a mic drop kind of moment when I read that!

Day 5 of 31 day blogging challenge has been a lot of fun to write. You can read more about the challenge here if you are interested or haven’t seen them yet. Now we are on to day 5. The challenge today is 10 songs I love right now. Time to go through my phone and see what I’m listening to most.

Queen

I find myself playing their greatest hits album quite often. Nathan’s favorite is Bohemian Rhapsody. Mine is Under Pressure and Radio Ga Ga. Speaking of Queen, if you haven’t seen the movie about them, you need to. It is fantastic. I could watch it over and over.

Sam Hunt

I am a big fan of his music. My favorites being Make You Miss Me and House Party. These are just great songs to sing along to.

TLC

The very first CD I ever owned was their album Crazy Sexy Cool. Now I feel old as I write that. Yep, I’m old and that’s just fine with me. Who hasn’t listened to the song Waterfalls a time or two? Or a thousand. Damaged and Unpretty are also favorites.

Adele

There are some people who think all of her music sounds the same and everything has the same theme to it. Cool. Run with that opinion. I still enjoy it. My favorite is Someone Like You. Nathan will sing Set Fire to the Rain with me sometimes, although he only knows her songs because I listen to it.

Dame D.O.L.L.A

I am a big Damian Lillard fan in general because he is a player for the Portland Trailblazers. But he is a good rapper as well. My favorite song is Run It Up.

Five Finger Death Punch

I’m not normally a metal or heavy metal kind of person, but I love their style. My favorite songs are Gone Away and Jekyll and Hyde. Gone Away is one of those songs that just speaks to me and makes me think of my best friend. I tend to listen to it when I’m missing him. Blue On Black is rapidly becoming a favorite too.

Brothers Osborne

My favorite songs being Stay A Little Longer and It Ain’t My Fault. It Ain’t My Fault is just one of those songs that you can tap your foot to and really get into. Plus the video is hilarious.

Enya

I’ve been listening to her music forever, it seems. My favorite album is A Day Without Rain, and the song Only Time. Although I can listen to the entire album and thoroughly enjoy it. I started listening to Enya in high school, and have been ever since.

Jason Aldean

Dirt Road Anthem is just a great song. Both the original and the remix. I’m also a huge fan of Burnin’ It Down. But there are a ton of great songs from Jason Aldean. Too many to list here.

Johnny Cash

I have been listening to Johnny Cash for as long as I can remember. Grew up listening to it, and have continued long into adulthood. Walk The Line is an excellent movie too. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it.

Metallica

Wherever I May Roam is easily my favorite. Nathan’s favorite is Enter Sandman. Speaking of Metallica, if you haven’t heard Carol Of Bells from the Trans Siberian Orchestra with Metallica, you need to. Seriously. It is just amazing. I’m not big on Christmas music in general, but I love that song.

Nelly

I hated Nelly when he first came out, and then I spent a summer hanging out with my nephew, and that was something he listened to constantly. I think I can recite the entire album Country Grammar without any trouble. I’ve listened to it that much, and I learned to like it. As he’s been featured in a few country songs, I like him even more.

Florida Georgia Line

Speaking of Nelly, one of my favorite FGL songs features Nelly in their remix of Cruise. But there are many Florida Georgia Line songs I enjoy. Confession is another good one.

Notes

That has been day 5 of 31 day blogging challenge!

I’m going back over my list, I just realized I listed off more than ten songs and bands that I enjoy. Oh well. It is my post. I know my listening habits are downright strange, or at least varied pretty significantly. That is just me because I enjoy them all. It all really depends on my mood or what I’m doing as to the type of music I listen to. Sometimes I just hit shuffle and see what happens. It is really turn to use my Amazon Echo for music and see what it comes up with based on my last few musical requests. That is an adventure!
